A Notary Public is a specialist lawyer who can witness or certify documents for use in foreign countries. By virtue of the Notaries signature and official seal, authorities in other countries will be assured that the relevant checks have been carried out.
As an example, when buying a property abroad you may need to give your overseas lawyer power to deal with the purchase. A Notary Public can watch you sign a Power of Attorney and then notarise this document to ensure that it is accepted in the country involved.

Certain countries, for example Spain and Germany, usually require the document to be Apostilled.
Apostilling is a formal process, where the Foreign and Commonwealth Office issue a certificate vallidating the Notaries stamp and seal.
We are able to arrange for our documents to be validated with a Hague Convention Apostille within 24 hours.
In addition to Apostilling, certain countries, for example, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, China, require the document to be Legalised through their embassy in London. This is a formal process, similar to Apostilling.
We are able to arrange the Legalisation of documents at all embassies and consulates in London.
We are able to advise whether your document will require Apostilling and Legalising for use in a particular country.
